Anxiety is a normal part of our experience as human beings. Anxiety helps to protect us from danger. It is what keeps us aware of our surroundings so we don’t unknowingly walk in front of a speeding car for example. Occasionally, anxiety may become unmanageable. Fears and worries about work, family, friends, health, social outings, finances, and balancing any or all of these responsibilities may affect your ability to enjoy life.

If you or someone you care about is struggling with anxiety, there is hope. Gaining an understanding of how our feelings, thoughts and behaviors are linked has a powerful effect on how we feel and behave. Becoming more mindful of ourselves and the present moment is helpful is reducing fear and concern about the future.
