Occasionally, feelings of being “blue” or “down” persist and you just can’t seem to shake them. Sadness may turn into helplessness, frustration into explosive and unpredictable anger. As a result, relationships may become strained, your performance at work or school may decrease, and previously enjoyed activities may no longer appeal to you. You may have difficulty sleeping or sleep most of the time.
